Ye’s New Album & 2025 Grammy Nom Predictions: Will ‘Not Like Us’ Make The Cut? | Billboard Unfiltered

In this episode of Billboard Unfiltered, Billboard staffers Carl Lamarre, Kyle Denis, and Damien Scott dissect J. Cole’s features on Tee Grizzley’s “BLOW FOR BLOW” and Daylyt’s “A Plate of Collard Greens,” as well as his best features overall. The team also gives their predictions for who could receive a 2025 Grammy nomination, discusses Ye’s announcement of his new album Bully, covers the public’s reaction to the announcement, and more!

Carl Lamarre:

I can’t take this serious man. It’s a struggle for me to look at you like…

Kyle Denis:

I just see that little Dreamville like monologue. It’s like bruh…

Carl Lamarre:

It could potentially be five or six.

Kyle Denis:

Music video too because I like his videos.

Damien Scott:

Ah man.

Kyle Denis:

It’s almost perfect. Kanye 2024 making new solo music. That’s a massive question mark for me.

Carl Lamarre:

I’m trying to identify who those next superstars are going to be, clearly Travis is that guy right now. Hey guys welcome to a fresh episode of Billboard Unfiltered. Shout out to Mr. Anderson, he’s celebrating his birthday today.

Damien Scott:

Happy birthday!

Kyle Denis:

Happy birthday!

Damien Scott:

Didn’t even tell us.

Carl Lamarre:

He’s probably having a bubble bath right now, so we’re holding down the fort.

Damien Scott:

A bubble bath…

Carl Lamarre:

First topic today, Mr. Jermaine Lamarr Cole.

Damien Scott:

Full name.

Carl Lamarre:

Full name! Full name, he just made a splashy return last week featured on two tracks. The first one being “BLOW FOR BLOW,” Tee Grizzley track and Daylyt’s “A Plate of Collard Greens.” The man who calls himself the self-proclaimed GOAT when it comes to features… Oof… has to me, he demolished. He did some demolition derby last week. Crushed those verses, in my humble opinion. Curious to see your guys’ thoughts on those two respective tracks, and is Mr. Jermaine Lamarr Cole back?

Keep watching for more!
