While Colossus has always been one of the strongest members of the X-Men, at his core he is really a gentle giant. Piotr Nikolaievich Rasputin was raised on the Ust-Ordynski Collective farm in Siberia during the height of the Soviet Union. The young Russian always had the soul of an artist, but never imagined a life beyond that of a farmer. But thanks to his mutant power to transform his body into organic steel, Piotr was called away to join the X-Men as the all-powerful Colossus.
