The friendship between the future Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch is at the center of the story, and the two-part movie structure gives Jon M. Chu even more time with the pair. The first movie sees Elphaba and Glinda go from initially frosty roommates to proclaimed best friends.
