Wicked director Jon M. Chu explained why the title of the upcoming sequel was changed. After the praise the first movie has received, anticipation is high for the upcoming Wicked: For Good. The sequel was originally simply titled Wicked: Part Two before the change. The follow-up will pick up not long after the ending of Wicked, and will once again star Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande-Butera, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. However, the reaction to the title change has been mixed, with some people not finding the appeal of the “For Good” part.
