Mike Vitar played the legendary Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez in the 1993 cult classic The Sandlot, but his role was recast in the movie's two direct-to-video sequels. While the first sequel, The Sandlot 2, focused on an entirely new cast of characters, the third movie in the franchise heavily featured the Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez character, who acted as the coach of the Sandlot team featured in the movie. Chauncey Leopardi, who played Michael "Squints" Palledorous, reprised his role in The Sandlot: Heading Home, but Vitar was replaced by actor Danny Nucci.
