Why Glinda Always Gets Boq’s Name Wrong In Wicked

Glinda (Ariana Grande-Butera) always gets the name of Boq (Ethan Slater) wrong in Wicked, which is important to their respective character arcs. When Glinda first arrives at Wicked‘s Shiz University, Boq is one of the first individuals she encounters. Glinda and Boq are from different parts of Oz as Glinda is from the Upper Uplands and Boq is a Munchkin from Munchkinland. They are both enrolled as students at Shiz University and Boq is immediately smitten with Glinda.
