Why 2 New Kick-Ass Movies Are Happening (But Not Kick-Ass 3)

Matthew Vaughn's plans for a new Kick-Ass reboot trilogy came as a surprise to many, and left the status of a potential Kick-Ass 3 uncertain. Kick-Ass 3 would have continued the story of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, two young superheroes without powers. The director of Kick-Ass, Matthew Vaughn, now has plans to revitalize the franchise with a reboot trilogy. Vaughn's Kick-Ass reboot plans are confusing, though, and it doesn't currently seem like they include Kick-Ass 3.
