In the one-minute flashback clip, which takes place in Brooklyn in 1994, a group of teenagers is seen entering a mysterious underground tunnel, while Beastie Boys‘ “Pass the Mic” — the lead single from the New York rap legends’ 1992 album Check Your Head — soundtracks the adventure. When one of the teens asks what they’re heading into, the boy leading the pack simply replies, “You’ll see.” From there, the scene ends and the show’s title card appears.

Per the series description, the second season of the show based on the beloved R.L. Stine children’s horror books will follow fraternal twins Devin and Cece (played by Sam McCarthy and Jayden Bartels) adjusting to life alongside their recently divorced dad, Anthony (David Schwimmer). “When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994,” the description continues.

Manish Raval and Tom Wolfe are the music supervisors for the show, which has become known for blending hits of different eras as the timeline jumps from flashbacks in 1994 to present day. This season will feature throwback songs like “Pass the Mic,” along with current tracks like Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,”  Travis Scott’s “FE!N” and Charli XCX’s “girl, so confusing.”

Goosebumps: The Vanishing premieres Friday (Jan. 10) on Disney+ and Hulu. Watch the opening scene exclusively via Billboard below.
