Warner Music Cono Sur and Lotus Launch Label & Management Company

Warner Music Cono Sur (which covers the Southern Cone of Latin America) and Lotus, the events production company behind Lollapalooza Chile, have launched a new label, booking and management company.

According to both companies, this new division of Lotus also integrates booking and management focusing on a “comprehensive” live experience, creating and developing a strategy that “not only drives a staging of international standards for each artist, but also works on their long-term projection,” they explained in a statement. This “strategic alliance” they said represents a “significant milestone” in the Chilean music industry, merging local talent with international teams to amplify the presence of Chilean artists on a global stage.

“The spirit of this new division of Lotus is to contribute to the future of the scene with talents that contribute new ideas in a sustainable and innovative way,” said Sebastian De La Barra, founding partner of Lotus. “Each artist is a world and the goal is to understand those times and concepts to be able to take the Chilean flag to the top in the rest of the world through our artists.”

The first artists signed to Lotus Records, Booking and Management include emerging trap artist Akriila, musical producer DJ Tee — who’s worked with artists like Ana Tijoux — and singer-songwriter and producer Andres Nusser, a.k.a. Astro. “Chile has exceptional artistic potential, and we are thrilled to partner with Lotus to discover and nurture the next great talents and superstars. We are committed to the growth of the Chilean music scene and look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on the industry,” added Guillermo Castellani, president of Warner Music Cono Sur.
