Want a Custom Video From Wu-Tang Clan? Now You Can Request One Via Ticketmaster

Fans buying tickets to upcoming Wu-Tang Clan and De La Soul tours now have easy access to custom messages from the RZA, the GZA and other members of each outfit via a new partnership between Ticketmaster and HiNOTE.

The ticketing giant has partnered with the platform, which allows fans to request custom videos from artists in a manner similar to Cameo. Ticketmaster pages for both Wu-Tang and De La Soul’s upcoming tours currently feature links to HiNOTE, making it possible for fans to buy a custom HiNOTE video at the same time they’re purchasing tickets. These videos are also available as a standalone purchase.

Intended to function as customized tour memorabilia, HiNOTE videos from De La Soul and Wu-Tang are currently only available via the Ticketmaster partnership. Wu-Tang videos are running for $199, while De La Soul vids are going for $100.

HiNOTE launched in 2020 with technology that makes it possible for fans to request custom messages from a plethora of artists. Unlike Cameo, a similar service that launched in 2017, HiNOTE focuses exclusively on musical acts and currently features an artist roster of nearly 70 genre-spanning artists. Prices average between $50 and $500. Involved artists control their pricing and how many videos they create.

“Since our launch, HiNOTE has been growing in popularity with both artists and fans,” founder Tyler Childs said in a statement. “But we feel it will be a real gamechanger for touring artists who may not have the bandwidth for meet-and-greets before the show. And for fans, HiNOTE gives them a custom video that they can share with their friends and family and on social media which is far more meaningful than a quick photo backstage. Having Ticketmaster make it a seamless part of the ticket buying experience makes it so easy for fans to take advantage of this cool new experience.”

Wu-Tang Clan is launching a 38-date European and North American tour on June 2 in Stockholm. A 29-date European and North American tour by De La Soul begins July 1 in Baltimore.
