The owner of the Packard Sawmill after the disappearance of her husband, and the secret lover of sheriff Harry Truman, Josie met a tragic end in Twin Peaks season 2, episode 16, dying mysteriously after a standoff with Dale Cooper. In an extra Lynchian twist, Josies spirit seemed to be transported into a wooden drawer knob, apparently dooming her to exist as a literal piece of the furniture at the Great Northern Hotel.
