Growing up with Parks & Recreation on my living room’s TV every Thursday night, I know just as much about Pawnee as Leslie Knope, but even I missed an early show moment that gives me greater respect for a series I regularly devour, like Rob Swanson digging into a five-course dinner consisting only of steak. While I believe the show drastically improves over time, I still enjoy the characters set up in season 1, even the unnamed roles. In fact, all those Pawnee citizens known for being the worst make some of the sitcom’s best moments.
