These Boots Are Made for Cheering: Taylor Swift Makes Red-Hot Return to Watch Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift made her glam return to Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night (Sept. 5) to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the Kansas City Chiefs’ season-opening game against the Baltimore Ravens.

All eyes were on what the pop superstar would wear to the game, after the Chiefs-branded ‘fits she sported last season routinely sold out after each of her endorsements. But she didn’t wear any NFL merch on Thursday, opting instead for a denim corset top paired with daisy dukes and above-the-knee deep-red leather boots.

Swift became a fixture at the Chiefs’ games last year, starting Sept. 24, 2023, when she first attended Kansas City’s home game against the Chicago Bears and seemingly confirmed the relationship rumors surrounding her and Kelce were true. In an interview months later, she revealed that they had started dating last summer, long before she showed up at the game.

She came to every game that didn’t conflict with her Eras Tour dates after that, including when Kelce and the Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl, clinching the ring as Swift looked on at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium in February.

Now the Chiefs are looking for the Super Bowl threepeat, starting with Thursday’s game against the Ravens.

For her part, Swift is on a break between the European leg and second North American leg of her Eras Tour, which will hit Canada for the first time when it kicks off in Toronto in November. She leads nominees at next week’s MTV Video Music Awards, going down Wednesday, Sept. 11, at New York’s UBS Arena.
