Events can be one of the best parts of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but there’s one in particular that receives a lot less love from the community than the rest. Celebrating holidays and special occasions was a feature originally introduced in the first game of the franchise, and although there have been some ups and downs in included events since, they’ve remained a staple of the series. In most cases, having an event roll around shakes up the gameplay opportunities in an exciting way, and it’s nice to celebrate just about anything with Animal Crossing villagers.
