The Weeknd & School on Wheels Team Up to Provide Laptops, Tutoring & Mentorship for Homeless L.A. Students

The Weeknd has partnered with the L.A.-based organization School on Wheels to support more than 1,000 students experiencing homelessness.

Since 1993, School on Wheels’ mission is to enhance educational opportunities for children who are experiencing homelessness from kindergarten through twelfth grade. And The Weeknd is on board supporting the nonprofit organization’s Literacy Program, which provides students ages 5-8 with in-person tutoring and the tools they need to learn to read and write; supporting the BUS (Believe-Understand-Succeed) Program, which helps students living in homeless situations graduate high school in 2024; and providing laptops and Chromebooks, internet access and software for hundreds of students experiencing homelessness.

He posted the two album covers along with a third, black slide with a white question mark in the middle and a parental advisory warning label. “3,” he wrote as the caption. He dropped his first Trilogy in 2012, which contained his first three mixtapes from 2011 — House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence.
