During The Traitors season 1, Arie Luyendyk Jr. was a late recruit by the traitors, and he now explains why he accepted their offer to join them. Arie was a devoted faithful at the beginning of the game, committed to figuring out who the traitors were. However, when Cirie Fields and Christian de la Torre asked him to join them as traitors after fellow traitor Cody Calafiore was banished, he agreed. After teaming up with Cirie to banish Christian due to his lack of discretion in the game, Arie figured that it would be smooth sailing to the end. He thought that he and Cirie would split the $250,000 prize. However, Cirie betrayed him at the Fire of Truth, and he voluntarily withdrew from the game in the hope that faithfuls Andie Vanacore and Quentin Jiles would realize Cirie was a traitor too. But they didn't, and Cirie won The Traitors season 1.
