Having already twisted one childhood icon into a horror villain, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey director Rhys Frake-Waterfield reveals his Mickey Mouse slasher pitch he has no intention of making. Frake-Waterfield recently became the subject of viral division with his 2023 slasher movie turning A.A. Milne's beloved honey-loving teddy bear into a slasher villain alongside friend Piglet, turning them into feral killers after being abandoned by Christopher Robin. The movie was made after the rights to the original Winnie-the-Pooh book entered the public domain and, despite poor reviews from critics, was a box office smash, grossing over $5.2 million against its initial $100,000 budget.
