The oldest movie with 0% on Rotten Tomatoes is far more recent than presumed, begging the question of whether critics have become harsher or the quality needed for a movie to be greenlit has been lowered over time. Oddly enough, receiving a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes is far more difficult than achieving a 100% score. Well over 100 films since 1920’s The Golem have earned a coveted 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, whereas fewer than 50 movies have been given a Rotten 0% rating. However, to truly assess whether the general agreement on the movie is 0%, only those with at least 20 critic reviews or a critical consensus description on Rotten Tomatoes are considered.
