MaXXXine is a terrific time at the theater, and proves that Ti West’s horror trilogy is one of the best horror blockbusters in years. The third entry in the series that began with 2022’s X and continued with the prequel Pearl, MaXXXine builds off the events of the first film to follow Mia Goth’s Maxine Minx to Hollywood. Set against the backdrop of a Los Angeles reeling from multiple murders and the resulting “Satanic Panic” in the minds of hyper-religious protesters, MaXXXine is a modern horror classic that underscores how good Ti West’s horror trilogy really is.
