The Goldbergs Star’s New Comedy Is A Better The Office Follow-Up Than Its Spinoff Because Of 1 Detail

A new mockumentary-style medical comedy series starring The Goldbergs’ Wendi McLendon-Covey could be an even better follow-up to The Office than its spinoff series because of a critical detail. The new series, St. Denis Medical, will be part of NBC’s Fall 2024-2025 lineup, scoring a Tuesday night spot. Wendi McLendon-Covey, who played the Beverly Goldberg character in the cast of The Goldbergs, has a starring role in NBC’s inventive new show. McLendon-Covey will make her return to network TV as Joyce, the executive director of the series’ titular medical center and a former oncologist.
