When The Goldbergs began in 2013, Beverly’s relationship with her youngest son Adam was adorable if a little over-protective. While Beverly might have been a bit smothering, Adam always appreciated her support despite how much it occasionally embarrassed him. However, as The Goldbergs continued and Adam grew up, the dynamic between him and his mother grew increasingly strange. It was believable that Beverly would look out for her teenage son, but less reasonable that she would meddle in his love life when he was 20.
