As the release of the Fast X trailer draws closer, a new legacy trailer for 2001's The Fast and the Furious reminds audiences of Dominic Toretto's origins. Directed by Rob Cohen, the first Fast & Furious movie sees Vin Diesel's Dom, a street racer, take Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner under his wing. Neither Dom nor his sister, Mia (Jordana Brewster), realize, however, that Walker's character is actually an undercover cop investigating a series of dangerous crimes. The first film would go on to spawn a massive franchise, which has only grown in scale and scope (and budget) with each subsequent installment. Dom and the rest of the crew is next set to return in Fast X.
