DCU‘s Batman movie has finally gotten an update from James Gunn, and it suggests the future of the DCU is in good hands. When the MCU began in 2008, no one could have anticipated how big that franchise would become. However, there was a race to build on the mega franchise concept, with many studios rushing to create entire universes. Among them, the DCEU was one of the franchises that suffered in quality because of this race to the bottom.
