Although The Conners season 6 has given most of the Roseanne spinoff’s main characters a storyline by now, one major cast member has not been seen in the first three episodes. Like many family sitcoms, The Conners struggles to find time for its entire ensemble cast. Not every sitcom can be as tightly constructed as Arrested Development and there are many times that Roseanne’s spinoff has needed to ignore major characters for entire episodes simply because there isn’t enough screen time for everyone. Occasionally, this has resulted in the show changing its lineup for good by dropping characters who were once central.
