The Collected has gotten an update after years of waiting. The upcoming The Collected, a sequel to the 2009 horror movie The Collector and its follow-up The Collection, has been in development since the latter’s release in 2012. Although it was officially announced in 2014 with star Josh Stewart set to return, development had stalled as of 2018. It was revived in 2019 but production stalled several days in, with further development at a standstill. Franchise co-writer and director Marcus Dunstan revealed that this was partially due to the fact that he did not hold the rights to the franchise.
