Michael B. Jordan wants to expand the Creed franchise, and the best way for the movies to continue is to leave boxing behind. The Rocky spinoff/sequel franchise has done an incredible job of continuing the legacy of Sylvester Stallone's original movies while also carving out its own corner of the universe based around Adonis Creed's life. Creed 3 is the latest example of the creators' attempts to keep the franchise alive. Through the nine movies that have been made within the Rocky and Creed franchises, all have revolved heavily around their main characters' boxing careers and the sport at large.
