Director Matt Reeves' The Batman helped prepare for the DC Universe debut of Robin. James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DCU is rebooting the Dark Knight, with Ben Affleck's version of Bruce Wayne staying behind in the soon-to-be-finished DCEU. Batman's The Brave and the Bold movie will move into new ground for the hero's live-action history, introducing audiences to Bruce Wayne's biological son, Damian, who will take on the mantle of Robin. The last time one of the bearers of the Robin title appeared in a live-action Batman movie was the Dick Grayson version in 1997's ill-received Batman & Robin.
