The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer has hinted about a possible celebrity version of each of the Bachelor Nation shows, but it might not be the best idea for the franchise. The Bachelor began by casting unknowns in the lead role, but tried a few famous people, including NFL player Jesse himself and actor Charlie O’Connell. However, as the years passed, the show began casting contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, who’d become celebrities themselves, as the leads. The Golden Bachelor began with unknown Gerry Turner, but then cast one of his contestants, Joan Vassos as The Golden Bachelorette.
