There has yet to be a female James Bond, but the producers actually considered the idea at one point in the franchise. Across the 60-year history of the 007 series, only six actors have played the character. That's a fairly exclusive club, and with Daniel Craig's Bond retirement following No Time To Die, the search is on for the next performer. Everyone from Henry Cavill to Aaron Taylor-Johnson or Regé-Jean Page has been linked to the role, but historically, producers have leaned towards actors who haven't already appeared in major franchises or iconic characters of their own.
