The Jedi Padawan braid has become extremely iconic following its debut on Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, as it helps to identify the Padawans and represents the final tie a Jedi cuts before they ascend to the rank of Jedi Knight.
