Raven Jackson’s feature debut, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt, is a beautifully told epic tale that received a well-deserved premiere at Sundance Film Festival this year. Though the narrative is non-linear, the film follows Mack (Charleen McClure as an adult) throughout a large swath of time and empathizes with the highs and lows of her life. Her sisterly bond with Josie (portrayed by Obi-Wan Kenobi star Moses Ingram in adulthood) and the important lessons from her mother (Sheila Attim, The Woman King) play an especially integral part in shaping her story.
