A new Paper Mario game might be at the top of many Nintendo fans' wishlists, but the Super Mario RPG remake has more potential to deliver on expectations. Both Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario represent some of Nintendo's biggest excursions into roleplaying game territory, taking the iconic plumber of the Mushroom Kingdom into different sorts of adventures than his typical goomba-stomping mayhem. Super Mario RPG hasn't enjoyed the long-running commercial popularity of the Paper Mario series, receiving no sequels over the many years since its release, but its return is both well-deserved and exciting for long-time fans and new players alike.
