Apple TV+ has become the home for intriguing TV shows, and its adding the new dramedy, Sunny (which is more drama than comedy), to its repertoire. The series, created by Katie Robbins, wonders whether someone can ever really know their spouse, while treading softly regarding the moral ambiguity of AI technology. It explores both of these themes fairly prominently, while touching on grief and friendship. Sunnys mystery drives its narrative and, though it begins to taper off after a while, the writing isnt content to stay in a box of tropes.
