The sophomore series had seven episodes, shortened from season 1’s nine-episode span. The end credits of Squid Game season 2 promised that season 3 would come in 2025, but did not reveal an exact release date. Audiences will be anxious to see what happens to round out the series, because season 2 ended on a cliffhanger.
