Sonic X Shadow Generations includes two games. First is a remaster of Sonic Generations, which is a celebration of Sonic throughout the ages with a mix of classic 2D levels inspired by the Blue Blur’s Sega Genesis days and fast-paced 3D levels that feel like they were lifted directly from the Sonic Adventure games on the Dreamcast.
The other campaign is an all-new storyline where you play as Sonic’s anti-hero counterpart, Shadow. Similar to Sonic’s campaign, Shadow’s stages play out across 2D and 3D arenas, but they feel different thanks to the powers you can unlock to help you overcome various obstacles in your way.
