Saweetie Presents The AMEX Impact Award to Young Miko | Billboard Women In Music 2024

Saweetie presents the AMEX Impact award to Young Miko at Billboard’s Women In Music 2024.

I know that’s right. Let me tell you before I begin, the girls is looking good tonight. I saw Victoria Monét backstage, I saw Coco Jones, that honey that face was the beat. Katy Perry grown had the bounce a ponytail and Ice Spice baby that scoop is amazing, I know that’s right. Are you saying my government name, you really love me, okay.

This is such an incredible event to be a part of – being honored by Billboard a few years ago meant so much to me – the Game Changer, okay. And now I get to pay the love forward to an amazing artist – Young Miko!

This singer-songwriter and rapper from Puerto Rico got her start releasing tracks on SoundCloud, which caught the attention of both fans and other established artists. She debuted on the Hot 100 with her song “Classy 101” with Feid. Then “Fina,” her collaboration with Bad Bunny, debuted at No. 2 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and peaked at No. 14.

Last year Young Miko joined this year’s Woman of the Year Karol G on her Mañana Será Bonito Tour, where they thrilled audiences with their song “Dispo.”

And 2024 is already off to a great start with her single “BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 58” with Argentine hitmaker Bizarrap – can’t wait to see what else this year brings! Let’s take a look.

The American Express Impact Award is about more than just Young Miko’s unapologetic rhymes and stellar vocal delivery. She is also lending her voice to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and women in Puerto Rico and beyond! Her lyrics champion empowerment, individuality, resilience, and self-confidence. Now come over here girl and come get this award. Shout out to Young Miko.
