The Pink Ladies’ name is a familiar fixture of pop culture, but Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies gives the group’s name a new origin that draws inspiration from real life. Serving as a prequel to 1978’s Grease, Rise Of The Pink Ladies tells the story of Jane, Olivia, Nancy, and Cynthia, the Rydell teens who start the greaser group known as the Pink Ladies. Though the girls are searching for a sense of belonging and means of self-expression, it doesn’t take long for their actions to pose a threat to the more traditional 1950s values of Rydell High.
