The Conners cast and crew have reunited during the strikes. The series, which just concluded airing season 5 this May, is a continuation of the long-running sitcom Roseanne, which originally ran on ABC for 10 seasons between 1988 and 1997. The new series originated as a reboot of Roseanne, but lead actor Roseanne Barr was fired after stirring controversy with racially insensitive tweets and the show was rebranded as The Conners, killing off her character and following the rest of her family.
