"Mix It Up A Bit": Black Mirror Creator Responds To Claims That Netflix Ruined The Show’s Tone

Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker has responded to claims that the show lost its edge after joining Netflix. The sci-fi anthology series originally premiered on the United Kingdom's Channel 4 in 2011, running for another season and a Christmas special through 2014 with each episode's storyline largely centering around a grim possible use of modern technology. Netflix took on the show in 2016, producing four more seasons so far plus the interactive movie Bandersnatch, with episodes more frequently featuring big stars such as Bryce Dallas Howard, Salma Hayek, and Miley Cyrus.
