A historian analzyes HBO's Rome for its historical accuracy, and the historical drama makes some crucial mistakes. First airing in 2005, Rome takes place in the final days of the Roman Republic, chronicling the lives of real figures like Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) and Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson), and more. The show, which was a dual production between HBO and the BBC, ultimately concluded in 2007 after only 2 seasons, but not before delivering some epic battle sequences.
