Just in time for Easter weekend: Praise This is now streaming on Peacock.

The musical drama starring Chlöe Bailey and Anjelika Washington, premiered on Friday (April 7).

Bailey stars as Sam, an aspiring recording star who joins her cousin’s struggling youth choir as they prepare for a national championship. Washington plays Bailey’s cousin, Jess.

Tristan Mack Wilds, Quavo, Birgundi Baker, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Loren Lott, Jekalyn Carr, Koryn Hawthorne and Drew “Druski” Desbordes are included in the cast. The comedy is directed by Tina Gordon and produced by Will Packer, Tim Story and James Lopez.

Praise This marks Bailey’s first starring role in a feature film – but it’s not her first role in a film centered around church and gospel music. The “Pray It Away” singer portrayed a young version of Beyonce’s character in 2003’s The Fighting Temptations. Bailey also appears in Amazon Prime’s Swarm and previously starred in the Freeform series, Grown-ish.  

“It’s my first movie I’ve stared in, so to be able to do it with my love of music and God all combined, it’s  been pretty cool and I’m so grateful,” Bailey told CNN of the movie’s religious theme.
