One Piece Season 2 Update Debunks A Big Viewer Worry From Netflix’s Season 1 Ending

One Piece season 2 seemed positioned to skip over a key story arc, especially in the wake of Netflix’s One Piece season 1 ending. Thankfully, a filming update about the show’s sophomore season has put One Piece fans’ fears to rest. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s bestselling manga series, Netflix’s live-action One Piece follows in the footsteps of the long-running One Piece anime series by translating the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates to the screen. As in the source material, the Straw Hats’ captain, Monkey D. Luffy (Iaki Godoy), aims to become “The King of the Pirates.”
