The epic scale of the pirate world is being brought to live-action with Netflix's One Piece adaptation. Based on Eiichiro Oda's manga of the same name, the adventure show centers on Monkey D. Luffy, who aspires to acquire the eponymous mythical treasure and become the new King of the Pirates, and sets sail to form a crew to find it. One Piece was created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements also executive produce.
