The iconic Battle of the Heroes duel between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is one of the best lightsaber duels in Star Wars, and an alternate ending would have been worse. George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy initially divided the fanbase, but its reputation has improved over the years. Still, one element received almost universal praise; the final duel between Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker and Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi. This was one of the most eagerly-anticipated moments in the trilogy, and the battle plays out perfectly in accordance with canon. Surprisingly, though, it's recently been revealed Lucas was encouraged to shoot a different finale.
