Nightwing is bound to follow in Batman’s footsteps in the DC Universe, whether he wants to be like Batman or not. A character that very much defines the concept of sidekick, Robin, as well as the many heroes who have used that title, created a legacy that goes beyond Batman. Despite the idea that Batman works alone, the Dark Knight has arguably the best set of apprentices and sidekicks in both the DC and Marvel universes, something that the live-action DC films have yet to explore.
