Since the announcement of Elden Ring Nightreign, fans of the Elden Ring franchise have been reeling over the game’s major departure from the classic Soulsborne formula, which will feature a shift to cooperative multiplayer. Co-op multiplayer was part of Elden Ring to a certain extent, with the Tarnished’s Furled Finger and Furlcalling Finger Remedy system used to summon players into specific boss battles or areas. However, this system was limited in many ways, making it a somewhat underwhelming feature. Nightreign will include cooperative multiplayer as a core feature of gameplay, for better or worse.
