New Angelina Jolie Movie Images Reveal First Live-Action Role Since 2021 (& It’s A Big One)

Angelina Jolie transforms into a legendary singer in first-look images from Pablo Larraín’s next biopic, Maria. The Chilean filmmaker is known for directing 2016's Jackie and 2021's Spencer, two biopics that chronicled the lives of iconic women, Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana, and earned their respective stars, Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart, Academy Award nominations for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. Larraín’s next biopic, which is titled Maria, will focus on the legendary opera singer Maria Callas and star Angelina Jolie, who hasn't appeared on-screen since 2021's Eternals.
