Before My Lady Jane was a TV series streaming on Prime Video, it was a book series written by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows. The first My Lady Jane book, and consequently the first season of the show, follows Lady Jane Grey, a young woman who is unexpectedly made queen of England, and thus, is thrust into imminent danger that she must avoid, alongside her loving husband, Guildford.
