Coming 36 years after the original Tony Scott film, Joseph Kosinski’s sequel hit movie theaters in 2022, featuring Cruise returning as Maverick to train a new batch of recruits, including Teller’s Rooster, Goose’s son, for a dangerous mission. The film was massive hit critically and commercially and Top Gun 3 development was subsequently confirmed, but few concrete updates have emerged on the project.
