Melissa Barrera’s vampire ballerina horror flick Abigail has finally found success, making it her potential Scream replacement franchise. Unfortunately, when this movie hit theaters in April 2024, it did not do well at the box office, earning just $42 million against a $28 million budget. Despite Abigail reinventing vampire movies through gory horror, the film failed to find a significant audience at the first time of asking. Now that the movie is streaming on Peacock, however, the tables are beginning to turn.
